Spaces4Learning: Net Zero Design for Schools to Combat Rising Energy Costs

September 16, 2023 - In an article published in Spaces4Learning, Ryan Strandquest LEED AP, President of Matern Professional Engineering, discusses the idea of approaching net zero in schools, specifically through analyzing the use of renewable energy. Despite being known as the Sunshine State, Florida currently produces a mere 6% of its electricity needs from renewable sources such as solar. While that may not seem like much, Florida ranks fourth among all 50 states in solar and renewable energy production. Matern Collaborates with One Blood to Support Local Community

June 15, 2023 - Uplifting and giving back to the local community is a core value at Matern Professional Engineering. And creating a safe and supported environment starts with ensuring access to healthcare. Accordingly, this year we partnered with One Blood and invited the Big Red Bus to come to our inaugural blood drive in honor of World Blood Donor Day on June 14. This event was meant to encourage our team—and the surrounding community—to take 45 minutes out of their day for a meaningful cause.
