October 26, 2023 - Leah Zeisler’s example of persistence is an inspiration to us. Leah first joined Matern nearly a decade ago, and in 2022 she stepped up to lead our firm’s electrical design department, overseeing Matern’s work in electrical design. Leah earned her PE and has since focused her energies on electrical, lighting, and educational work for Matern. In fact, one of her favorite feelings is driving past a building she helped design, taking satisfaction in knowing she has contributed to her community’s growth.
October 11, 2023 - The saying “time flies when you’re having fun!” rings true for Ashley Goldberg, who joined the company over a decade ago as a project setup/CAD coordinator. Ashley began working with Doug Matern and Ryan Strandquest on various projects and her interest in mechanical engineering grew, so she enrolled at the University of Alabama, where she received her bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Over the years, Ashley rose through the ranks from Mechanical Engineer to Sr. Project Manager. Today, she oversees Matern’s entire Mechanical Engineering Department for Education.
August 10, 2023 - At Matern, we put people first—and we have for 40 years! Accordingly, we look forward to celebrating our team’s hard work at our annual company picnic, on August 19 at Wekiva Island. This natural springs paradise, located just north of Orlando, offers fun activities for the entire family, including paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing, and horseshoes. A catered meal will be provided for Matern’s employees and their families.
