As Employee Ownership Month ends, we’re celebrating the people who make Matern Professional Engineering a great place to work!
Founded in 1984, Matern has spent over four decades helping clients create buildings that perform for the people inside them and the environments surrounding them. Today, as a 100% employee-owned engineering firm, the people behind our mechanical, electrical, plumbing, technology, fire protection, commissioning, and energy work also share in the company’s long-term success.
Employee ownership is part of how we invest in our people, protect the culture that guides our work, and build for the future. It brings an added level of care, accountability, and commitment to every project.
“We’re proud to be 100% employee-owned,” said Ryan Strandquest, President of Matern. “When our team has a stake in the work they do, it shows, driving the accountability, collaboration and long-term thinking our clients count on.”
Throughout October, the employee-ownership community has come together to recognize the value of shared ownership. The ESOP Association’s Employee Ownership Month programming has highlighted the ways employee ownership benefits employees, companies, and communities.
The impact is backed by research. The National Center for Employee Ownership has compiled findings that link employee ownership to stronger retention, greater job stability, and improved financial well-being for employees.
Our employee-owners carry Matern’s work forward each day, and we remain grateful to the clients and communities that trust us with their projects and visions.
