"This train station is going to be one of the busiest in the world, and we wanted to make sure that no detail was spared in a place that will see thousands of people every day," said Brad Pascarella, Commercial Department Head and Senior Project Manager at Matern Professional Engineering. "Since this is the home of Disney, Universal, and countless other theme parks, we wanted that magical feeling to start as soon as you get into the station; we even used some of Disney's techniques to help hide the ductwork and conduit."
Meeting client goals was a priority on this project and architectural partner Borrelli & Partners shared, “Brightline President Patrick Goddard made it clear to us early on that he didn’t want Orlando to look like a typical train station, [but instead wanted] something more on the line of a hotel and unique to the community,” said architect Jorge Borrelli.
